It has been quite sometime since I've last danced. Haiz...but still I'm quite sad about it. No matter how hard i've worked, how hard i've tried, i am stil not good enough. Never seem to be good enough. Felt that all the money, time and effort has ben wasted. All that returns is just saddness and disappointment. It is really so hard? Why I can't seem to get it? I don't understand....

Jonah's story makes me feel that I'm in a similar situation as him. Well, I'm not literally running away for God, but I did disobeyed Him when I know clearly that what i did was not right. Now not only am i in a mess, i have drag other people down as well. Just like how God sent a raging storm to the people on the boat with Jonah.

Honestly, i felt that i am terribly wrong, and i always fail to see it. Now that everything has been laid before my eyes, it hard to deny how things has turn out because of my disobedience. I do feel guilty, i do feel that i was not sensible and sensitive enough to know what is happening around me. Somehow, i felt that i don't deserve to be loved at all....cause i have not taken care of that love well.

And the worse thing i have ever done is not letting God be my guide...

Alvin's 21 birthday

Last year started out with a lot of weddings to attend. This year started out to have a lot of 21st birthday party to attend. Both are great ways of starting out the new year. It kinda really shows that all of us are growing up!

Hadn't been dancing. Either no time, lazy or just no as much passion i guess....Still got so many essays to complete :( Totally can't find any information to help me continue lor....

Woots! quite a number of things to update. So i will post about the most recent things first.

Finally was able to book a practical lesson. Instructor encourage to chiong all the way, everyday go for lesson and book the test dates. Well since my PDL is expiring soon, so might as wel just chiong. Get that license and get over with it. But it was really fun to drive :)

Next was my 21st birthday party. Really happy that everything went well and that it is over. 21 years of nonsense, so hopefully i will really live my life well for God. Went through so many things, now really have to be a nai ma and help those who needs help, or went through the same things as me before. With someone to guide you, it just seem that your life is less mess up. So yea, hope that i will get good job,get married and have kids. LOL, but not so soon lah. hehe!

Junior Showcase

Last week of holiday and the first week of school is one of my most busiest time of all. The best part? It's not even for school! Its for my upcoming birthday party and the upcoming junior showcase.

Showcase just ended yesterday and i felt relieved and pretty proud of myself. During the days of SGC, we always need to prepare a lot of showcase such as these, but it was never well done, and there wasn't much team work either. We always couldn't get things done and we ended up not completing anything. For this showcase, it was completely different. Everybody agreed to come at certain time and we commit to it. Within one day, we completed the whole showcase. All we need to do is to brush up our steps and make sure we sync. Looking at this video, I really do feel great about it.

Birthday party is coming up soon, everything seems to be in place. Feeling a little scared, a little excited and a little disappointed. But all in all, i hope is a great party for everybody :D

HAPPY BLESSED NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Haven't been blogging much in 2011 because there are quite a number of changes in year 2011. Both good and bad.

Started the year with Laodou and mummy's wedding. So it was quite great to start the year. After that graduated from Poly and went to University. It was hard to apply for a Uni though, so many procedures and we need to make a trip down to send our applications. In the end, I was glad to be in RMIT business. Joined their dance group as well and it was fun. Made some great friends and had a relatively good experience in Uni.

Church has quite a number of new events in 2011. We had youth retreat in Malaysia, Leaders' retreat in Malaysia, Youth chalet and RIBS retreat in malaysia as well. First time organized Christmas carol for 5 houses. First time taking UIC alone. First time leaving support singing team.

See! so many things happen in 2011. Not sure what to expect for 2012. Since most of my kids are having their o levels this year, hope i could do what i can to help them in their studies. Too bad my studies are poor, can'treally give them tuition or anything. It will be blind man leading th blind man. LOL.

All in all hope it will be a good year. Starting of with all the 21st birthday parties, including mine and also Chinese New year!

Waa.. every week got a video. so happy. :D always like to see myself dance, easier for me to gauge where to improve on.

In the end he left the UIC, abit discouraging but well, i understand how he feels, it is not easy. Cant believe i broke down during koinonia yesterday but that is my purpose as a leader. Never to let them be alone. Is probably a worse thing anybody could go through....

In whatever case i will do my best and i will pray that God will do the rest :)

Finally we have finished our final project and we have no more lessons. Now is just studying for exams. One more hurdle to go and we have completed our first semester :)

Really thank God for opening my eyes to see things in a different perspective. Now there seems to be so many things to do and i really do not know where to start. I will trust in God in this journey and i hope that i will be able to make a difference. in people's life...

Hehe! second dance video and im really happy to see that my movements are slightly sharper now. Hope to do better and be the selected few next time. I shall continue to gambatte!

Today had singing practice and Koinonia. Wanted to be on singing duty but to think that i have to risk breakfast with my kids again doesn't make me feel right. Things are getting a bit different now and no matter what happens i will still stand with my kids. It is tough but i just need to be dependent on God to go through it then. Again, gambatte! :)

Always be ready to forgive for love keeps no records of wrong. People who are rich in their friendships seem to be those who believe in lifelong relationships, who stay with their companions through thick and thin, who weather the dry spells. Loyalty is an essential ingredient to lifelong friendships. Lastly, it is possible that you have developed some rough edges which complicates your relationships and get you into trouble, but at the core you are fully capable of loving and being loved. :)

past dancing memories

This post gonna have some of the videoz of my past performance. This first video here is super memorable to me because i was the main dancer for this piece, and this piece won SYF gold with honours. YAY!

The next video here is my first performance in RP, the freshies debut showcase. A lot of work done here and a lot of teamwork. Glad that we pull it off well in the end. The 'broken doll' is me. :D

I like this dance piece as our batch only left with 6 people, YM, JH, WL, SJ, Fifi and me. It was fun putting this piece up, a lot of stress but I think we had a really good teamwork.

This is my first momentum dance piece in RP. Im pretty sure u guys can't find me here coz all of us looks the same. First time dancing raggae and it was fun! This is also the first time that I had done pretty well in bboy too. Baby freeze to chair to side freeze to headstand...haha!

I love this! First time performing in waacking and it is really fun. Goodness, the camera is so close up!

This is my first solo competition that i have joined. After so long....Well, everything turns out quite bad, but hey, who doesn't have their first time right?

There is still so many videos that i wanna share but couldn't find them. There are a lot of stress and breaking down moments I had in SGC, first time emcee, being president, organised hip hop competition, and most of the breaking down points are because of performing or joining competition. It was really quite bad. Come to think of it, should have suck it up, but well, can't blame me for being so emotional when it comes to dance right? Well, not even sure have I improve or not... LOL, that is saddening. Anyway, just dance.

Graduation Day

Forgive me for this late entry of this important day. Keep forgetting to post it up. This day mark the day of my graduation, graduating from Republic polytechnic. A lot of things had happened during these three years of poly, some were good, some were bad. They will always be a memory to me from now onwards, I will always remember them for it taught me how to be a better person along the way, how it further builds up my character, how friends were made, how we gone through some tough times and how we helped each other, how we had fun and how we had work hard.

This day marks the next phrase of life, yet again. The future seem uncertain and yet time is passing on so fast. Now I not sure if I still want to pursue my dreams of my own dance school. Just have the thought that I am not up for it....I'm not so sure anymore...

Healing relationships

Finally finished yet another book. Personally I liked this book the most because it really does speaks to me in one way or another but yet I still find it hard to connect.
People who are having deep wounds, darkest secret, meaningless struggles are usually due to being disconnected. Disconnected from God, disconnected from friends and disconnected from themselves. They could not see the purpose in life, they could not see the meaning of their existence, thus, many resort to things that will satisfy them for a moment. Examples, cutting themselves, addictions, finding other worldly things like money that may satisfy them. However, all these things can't and never will fill up the emptiness in their hearts, the only thing that could ever fill up that emptiness is the love of God.

When we find ourselves separated from God, ourselves and others, we are foolishly independent, unaware of our identity and purpose, committed to a justice that revolves around us, scared that we are inadequate, desperately insecure, angry when things don't go our way, consistently demanding that they do, incapable of loving anybody and not terribly bothered that we don't. Finally alone with ourselves, we either settling for less satisfaction or 'doing fine' or troubled by any one of the dozens symptoms of our internal life. Tears without an audience, without someone to hear and care, leave wounds unhealed.

When we become Christians, we are not only forgiven, we are also indwelt; we are not only acquitted, we are also empowered. God's spirit pours the motivation and energy of Christ into the veins of our soul. Something terrible is removed ( the wrath of God) and something wonderful is given (life of Christ). God not only provides forgiveness for everything bad within us, but he also plants a new source of goodness within us from which we may draw.

Other than connecting with God, we have to connect with others as well. Our calling is more than to help each other mortify the flesh. we also have the means to stimulate each other to love and good deeds, to identify, nourish, and help release the good urges that are always there beneath the bad. Connecting among Christians helps to vivify the Spirits.

As a church, we should be a healing community. A community that will heal the disconnected souls. A healing community should be a group of people who place connecting at the exact center of their purpose and passion - not evangelism, not teaching, not preaching, not missions, not music, not social actions, not numerical growth - but connecting: connecting with God (worship), others (loving service), and ourselves (personal wholeness)

Australia trip

One of the best trip i have other than the Taiwan study trip. So glad that I'm able to visit Australia at such a wonderful weather. Even though is really cold but we can't really get to experience such weather in Singapore. Its a very relaxing place to be in. Funny how I would want to stay in Australia when I feel there is a need for break from whatever happens in Singapore. Thank God for Dad and brother to sponsor this trip for me and for giving me a DSLR. Thank God for Kang for bringing us around and paying for almost everything. Thank God for allowing me to see his work in the lives of people in Australia too. :)

Almost forgot to post this wonderful event on blog. My very first Free cone day in Ben n Jerry!!! Having 20 people working together seems cool and lots of fun and camwhoring. haha! Still, i think free cone day in dempsey is really a bad idea. First it was held outside in a carpark. it was super hot and the ice cream just kept melting. Secondly, it rained! Everyone was drenched at the same time still have to handle their melted ice cream. Poor thing!

Work from 10am-8pm, super tired but definitely a fun day working. :)

My very first flashmob that i have joined. Felt cheated actually, was just expecting to dance and didn't know that I have to actually promote for the brand by giving out flyers, holding a board sign, asking ppl to take photo with you and tell them how to win prizes and to wear this costume.

Well, then again, is once in a lifetime experience. Get to do all the stupid things in Orchard road and Raffles place and no oe can recognize you for anything! Hopefully next time i can join a real flashmob then :)

Happy that I am able to dance three times this week. Finally I got selected when dancing hiphop. I was suprised but well i screwed up though, coz i was too nervous. Well, better luck next time. I will continue to work hard.

Today went for Princess Lockeroo workshop. Looks like i still got a lot of things to brush on. Glad I came for the workshop it was great, i learnt alot of the professional. Gonna work harder but first i need to get all these body aches far away from me...

Sometimes i just really wonder....Am I good enough?

I seriously don't think that I am not good enough;

I'm not a good dancer

I'm not a good leader

I'm not a good child for my parents

Neither am I a good Christian.

I know that all of us are just 'not good enough' for something, that is just because we are never perfect. At the same time, did we ever stop and think about all these 'not good enough' things? I realized that all my 'not good enough' just shows how much i depend on myself for things to turn out good, to turn out to be the things we expect them to be but that will never happen because we can't really do that in our own strength.

Do you get what i mean? Even though we always say we are Christians, but when have we really trust God in everything that we do? We just keep thinking that we can't do it because we trust in our own strength rather than God's. Only God could be that perfect, and only by trusting in His goodness will allow us to be something more than what we think we should be.

God wants us to trust in him so that we may enjoy the goodness that he can give us, the joy, the love and the peace. Of course, it is easier said then done, just pray for holy spirit to guide us. If we have the heart to change, God will change it for us... :)

True meaning of christmas

What is the true meaning of Christmas? We know that it is a public holiday, we also know that it is a day where we exchange presents with each other. However, why do we do that?

The true meaning of Christmas is love. In the bible, John 3:16 says that, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not sent his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." Christmas is the celebration of this incredible act of love.

The real Christmas story is the story of God's becoming a human being in the person of Jesus Christ. Why did He do that? Because He loves us! Why do we need Christmas? Because we needed a Saviour to save us from the wages of sin! Why does God love us? Because God is love himself! We celebrate this day every year because it is out of gratitude for what God has done for us. We remember His birth by giving each other gifts, worshipping Him and being especially conscious of the poor and the less fortunate people.

God gave His only Son to take our punishment for our sins. He paid the full price, and we are free from condemnation when we accept that free gift of love. "But God demonstrated His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)

Therefore, let us celebrate Christmas with this story in mind, that God has given us the best gift the world could ever get...love.

Prayer

"What is the point of prayer when God knows the future and is already in control of everything. If we cannot change God's mind, why should we pray?"

For the first reason why we should pray is that it is a form of serving God. God has commanded us to pray. At the same time, Jesus also did pray to God when He is on earth to remain in the Father's will, how much more do we need to pray then?

The second is that God intends prayer to be the means of obtaining His solutions in a number of situations. In this case, we usually pray for major decisions, overcoming demonic barriers, gathering workers for spiritual harvest, to overcome temptations and for strengthening others spiritually,

The third reason is to present our requests in life to God. Our prayers are never in vain, even if we didn't get what we ask for. That is what God has promised us. He will give us what we ask for when we ask for things that are according to His will. When He delays in His answers, He wants us to be diligent and persistent in prayer. Everything will act according to his infinite wisdom and also for our benefits. We should never see prayer as a mean of getting what we want on earth but rather for God's will to be done on earth.

In situations when we do not know God's will, prayer is also a means of discerning His will. We always go off without anything because we didn't ask God for it. It is like the blind man mentioned in the bible, if he didn't called Jesus, he would not have been healed. Same for sharing the gospel, if we do not share, who will respond? Same for prayer, if we did not ask, how can we expect it to be answered?

Prayer helps us to see God's work in others' lives, sometimes in our own lives too. We just need to really lift all our burdens and pains, even joy to Him and let Him use it for the greater purpose on earth.

May we glorify God's name with our lives as we have faith in Him to come to Him often in prayer.

Just finished training from Ben and Jerry. The busy time of my life is coming soon. I have to "tahan" until I graduate or at least 2 months. Until all the youth camp, Christmas, Danzation, Rpresenting are all gone. Wow, that quite a lot.

Life is so funny. When I'm trying desperately to find something to do, I was free like nobody's business. Now that I have found things to do, I feel like complaining that I have too much to handle. Haiz...I just hope that my boss would be nice, hope that they will really give me flexible timing. LOL.

May everything goes well. May I have a great time doing this Ben and Jerry job and not make mistakes. May I can mange my time well so that I can handle studies, dance, work and church at the same time.

Waiting upon the Lord

These days will be busy for me. I finally got a job and B&J. I know that having a job now may not be a wise decision but I do want to be independent as soon as I can. It is good to do more when you are still young right? Plus, I kinda do need such money for future use. At the same time, I pass my audition for a performance called Danzation. I'm glad that I'm able to dance again actually but things just didn't happen at the right time for me.

You see, my dear broke his leg and has to rest at home/hospital. And for me, being stuck with work, dance, school, and church commitment. Can't be there for him at all. Of course, I did try my best everytime I got the time, but then again...is never so convenient. Just hopefully I can get better with my time management and hopefully things will just fall into place.

May God heal those who are sick and injured. Amen!

After the competition, i find it difficult to dance. I can't seem to feel the music, at the same time, i became very conscious about my surroundings. I was afraid. Finally I get to clarify my doubts today after a dance class. I have good energy and I was daring. It is because that I'm daring, that she was able to comment on my dance, because she was able to see more of me.

Control was something that I was weak at and it is something that I have to work hard on. Next was to be able to listen and feel the music, dance with the music. First time joining a 1v1 competition, well, it is my first competition overall. Always wanted to join competitions with a crew but.... Well, my first attempt definitely was not something that I expect. I lost in the first audition round. Just went up to danced once and that it. Sad, definitely, who would not be. Come to think of it, I have danced 6 years of my my life, and I still can't achieve anything at all! How pathetic am I right? Well, instead of just sitting here and cry, of course I have to do something. For my dreams, my passion and definitely for those who supports me, I will not give up. Gonna dance three times this week, one for O school, one for natasha studio and one for freestyling. Hope to do this consistently and could do better next time, for I never ever want to waste another time, losing....

HAPPY ADVANCED BIRTHDAY TO GRACE! Since Alexis has to go off to China on her birthday, we had a earlier celebration for her. We had fun, even though was just a dinner. "Simplicity is beauty", sometimes just spending time with friends even if it is just a dinner or just to head to a cafe and chat is also nice.

Now trying to find a job. Got three in mind already. One is Ben and Jerry where it is flexible hours and the pay is $5/hr. It will increase by $0.50 for every 300 hours. Next is retail shop, $6/hr but have to work on weekends. Lastly is tuition. I don't really like tuition in the first place, but I really do need a job so I should not be too picky.

In dance, I was thinking of my genre to be street jazz, waacking and hiphop. I did try to train, be it taking eatra classes from dance schools or even tried dancing at home. There was once i even asked a friend out to dance together. Apparently, my sickness got in the way, in the end I didn train as much. Now that I have recovered, I would like to get back on track training. However, a waacking 1vs1 competition is coming up. I thought it would be a good opportunity even though I may still be new to this genre. I'm still thinking whether I would like to join. To think of it, everytime I tried freestyling in front of people, I have this super scared feeling inside. I start to sweat. I afraid that I would not be able to overcome my fear in time if I am joining this competition. I still have to take the first step... All in all, I will concentrate on my waacking first, after the competition, I will then train my other genres. Be it I win or not, I just want to take that first step...

Sometimes I do feel irritated by myself because I felt helpless. In dancing, who would not want to join competitions and win? Even if people don't get to win, but I bet through the process there are alot of love and care among one another. That how bonding comes. And who would not want to be part of a crew? A group of people whom you can dance with, and call them family? I want to, but where can I go? I had, but...I do feel like going back... haiz...important choices in life are never easy to make.

Sick week

been sick these few days...well not few days it has been a week or so already. Never been sick for so long. So many things I can't do like dancing, eating properly and eating my favourite food, can't sleep well, can't hang out cause I need rest... Let's just say being sick is NOT a good thing at all especially now is my holidays.

Went to see 2 doctors. Apparently the first one wasn't that good, just give me a few medicines and tell me to drink more water. After I had finished his medicines, I am still not well yet. Went to see another doctor. This doctor is so much better. He use a mirror to let me see my throat to tell me that I have throat inflammation which cause me to be sick. So it is not so much about my fever but rather my throat. Hope that it will get healed soon.

Watched both SALT and STREET DANCE during the week. SALT is just so-so for me. I thought that it could have been better. STREET DANCE is damn cool! I got new inspiration for designing my outfit and also for dance. But dance is slightly more difficult. LOL. Cause need to train up the necessary techniques for most of the dance moves.

RIBS!

Yeap, went for FOP on Friday. It was full house at the stadium because of people like Planet shakers and Don Moen are here. Why do I have the feeling that my first time coming for FOP is the best? That time Delirious was around. It was really great time for sing and worship. At the same time, te speaker was really good, it was about the Mary and Martha story. I love that FOP. This time the feeling is just not there and I'm not sure why. However, it was still a good time to sing and praise God :)

Since Ivy is leaving Singapore for her overseas exchange, we went to celebrate her birthday earlier. Celebrated on Sunday where some of the DGs stayed back to have a time to play together. We played board games. After that i brought my kids to play at the blocks cause they really love running so much.

Went out with Chang Hong after that and we finally managed to watch inception. It was nice but too bad the ending is up to us to guess. What the next movie to watch? Airbender, Salt, Street Dance, Step Up 3...

Finally I have completed my course in Street Jazz in O school. Just hoping that i can continue to practice hard and can really dance well in Street Jazz. Now I'm kinda wondering what other course I would like to take. Waacking would be good. but I will be taking Contem Jazz with Fifi too.

Anyway, last day of the course, we get to have dance battle with each other. It was fun to know that all of us have limited "vocabulary" in dance, we really gave all that we have. We have nothing to lose...

Still wondering whether should I go for O school recital audition. I would like to go, but I already have things in church. haiz...

I have not been dancing. So far I have only danced once a week in O sch, but today will be my last lesson and yet I'm not sure if I should go. My FYP is going to due date on Wednesday and yet we have not done anything much. Haiz...sian.

I just need to plan what to do after that.

It has been quite some time I've blog i guess. Quite a few things happened during the week I suppose. Anyway the main highlight is DG outing for the entire weekend.

Friday I had to go school to do my FYP assesment, after that I rushed down to pasir ris to meet sharon, ivy and fifi. Even though our DG chalet was only one night, it was a fun time we had. Even though all we did is playing board games only, but I bet all of us had fun. The only thing is that I didn sleep much during the night and the next day I was having another DG outing with my UIC and JENGA.

We all went to East Coast Park, most of them went for cycling, only me and kang are roller blading. It was a bit scary but good exercise and I fell. OUCH! However, it getting a lot better now. We went to play ice and water after that. Those kids are never bored of such games...LOL. I was super tired. What's worse? I need to wake up early for church the next day and school starts the day after that. I don't have enough sleep. How nice right? LOL

Actually I wanted to blog quite some time ago, but the internet is not very friendly to me this few days, so I could not blog properly. This shall be quite a long and wordy post.

WEDNESDAY

Had FYP meeting in the morning. In the evening, I went for work. Finally I had a job after so long, But in anyways, studies before job. I'm working in Capella as a Banquet Waitress. It's fine dining, so our grooming standard is also quite high. I get to serve Adrian Pang, that something. Anyway, I need to get myself a new shoes. Standing for hours is seriously no joke for my poor feet. Need to get comfortable shoes and shoes that the management approve of. SHOPPING TIME :)

THURSDAY

Went to DHL to do FYP. I seriously do hope this thing could end asap. Super sian, but it is something that determines our grades so better work hard for it no matter how sian it would be.

FRIDAY

Out of nowhere, there is welcome tea on Friday. I didn't get to know it. Anyway I don't find it a successful one. In fact, I find it quite bad. However, what can I say, they had tried. I just find that things could have done better if only.... After that I went for DG. It has been long since I went for DG, this time I will be going because I have step down. It time for me to do what I want to do.

SATURDAY

Went to Tecman with the Leader's DG. It was a really huge Christian bookstore. There are quite a number of books i wanted to buy but I know that I read quite slow. So one step at a time. After that, we went to seoul garden to eat with the BB officers. Makan sessions really help to bond people together.

MONDAY

Went to Marina Barrage with some of the W25M-ians and also their boyfriends/girlfriends. Had fun. The picnic, kite flying, card games. One of the cheapest outing with friends, just bought some chips and there we go! Do hope we could have another outing such as this. After the picnic, I went to O sch to dance. This time 2 hours straight. It has been long since I join the open classes. I screw up A LOT. I always screw up when the camera is around. Never mind, hope that I could continue joining the open classes and improve myself further. But $12 every week doesn't sound cheap to me :(

Finally momentum is O-V-E-R!!!! haha! Been waiting for this day since day 1. Anyway it was a great performance i would say. If the lightings were abit more better, it would be terrific! This is my first time wearing such a revealing outfit for performance. However, since it was for performance, I was alright with it, is not as if im wearing bikini or anything. So yea, it fine with me :D

Boot Camp 10

Finally boot camp is over! 2 down, 1 more to go... :D

This year's boot camp was quite an adventure as there are so many things happening in such a short time. Probably one of the most shocking moments i ever had.

First day, we got chinese food instead of halal food. Then we got quite a few problems in trying to find the halal food. then we cancel all our orders for chinese food and order everything halal. But then we still have to pay the money to the chinese store. haiz...Then later on at night, one of the freshies fainted. I seriously stone. But we called the ambulance and the staff so everything was fine by night. Second day, a lot of people was injured because of physical training. Commitee people have to run around and treat all these people. During showcase even more people are have muscles cramp after dancing. It is quite funny in a sense but too many people are getting injured in this camp. LOL.

Left one more momentum. It has been super busy nowadays. School in the morning, and dance till late night. Not to mention FYP and other admin stuff i need to settle. I still have dance exam sia. Shoot, I haven prepare anything yet.

"Everything narrows down to...my fault again." Many people has been asking what is happening to me to have such an "emo" comment on facebook. I am not trying to be emo nor gaining attentions from everyone. Just want to rant out all the stupid craps that has been happening to me. Let's just say I am not up for this job, all I can say is that I have done what I'm suppose to do. I do agree that sometime is my fault for being careless or what-so-ever, but sometimes I just hope for understanding that it is not me who wants this to happen. Human made errors, am I not one?

Now I'm just glad that people don't blame me. Sometimes, they even help me. I am glad, but I really do feel that I did a horrible job. Everything is just wrong...

First time planning auditions for HHIG. So tiring! Everything was in a mess for the first day but on the subsequent days, it was much better. At least there was a improvement. One down 2 more to go. I still have boot camp on hand and I have to get everything done by this week. What worse? I'm falling sick. Guess I have too much to handle, but this is not a good time to get sick man. :(

Yesterday was finally my first time able to organize a successful outing for my DG. Even though it was not very well planned out, I still glad we had some fun. Great way to distress I guess, we all get to run under the hot sun and stuff. LOL, back to our childhood time I would say.

I want to help, but I don't know how to help. Somehow I have this feeling that if I don't do something about it, something bad will happen to them. I would never ever want that to happen...

Danced to the max

Yesterday was seriously a very nerve-wreaking day for me. Using the time that I have, I kept trying to memorize my script up, down, left, right, back and front. We were have SLA performance yesterday, and I was the emcee for my IG. I think that we had a good response during SLA, we are aiming for more people to join Hip hop this year, so I hope that we can find better dancers.

After performance, we immediately went to practice for momentum for our 60% preview. Practiced all the way till 11plus. I was seriously tired that I can feel like I can walk and sleep at the same time. But overall, I think that we had a good practice.

"An IG that dances together, stays together" I really do hope that we can live it up to that.

We are all in this together.

Tiring week EVER

Just had Jam n Hop performance. One down, two more to go(Momentum and SLA). This two days I have been practically dancing all around RP for the first time ever. I went with Zaini for "tour" around RP to teach people from different schools mass dance. First time I danced for long hours, doing the same routine, with the same music for so many times! What a experience, I would say. Anyway performance was all right, can't say it was bad neither was it extremely good. All I know is that I did my best for my performance.

Tomorrow starting school, I still have a lot of things to deal with. I really do need time. All I hope now is people cooperating with me in whatever things that we do. I don't have time to discuss or argue or explain. I just want to get things done for now. To meet all the stupid deadlines and making sure everything is in tip top condition.

I will be in different classes everyday. I think I will have a hard time remembering my classes. LOL. At least I get to be same class with my friends from different classes :)

At the age of 33,
Jesus was condemned to the death penalty.

At the time
crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst
criminals condemned to be crucified. Yet it was
even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike
other criminals condemned to death by
crucifixion Jesus was to be nailed to the
cross by His hands and feet.

Each nail
was 6 to 8 inches long.

The nails
were driven into His wrist. Not
into His palms as is commonly
portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that
extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew
that when the nails were being hammered into the
wrist that tendon would tear and
break, forcing Jesus to use His back
muscles to support himself so that He could
breathe.

Both of His feet
were nailed together. Thus He was forced to
support Himself on the single nail that
impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could
not support himself with His legs because of the pain
so He was forced to alternate between arching His
back then using his legs just to continue to
breath. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the
suffering, the courage.

Jesus endured this
reality for over 3 hours.

Yes,
over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of
suffering? A few minutes before He died,
Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring water
from his wounds.

From common images
we see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear wound
to His side. But do we realize His wounds
were actually made in his body. A hammer
driving large nails through the wrist, the feet overlapped
and an even large nail hammered through the arches, then a
Roman guard piercing His side with a spear. But
before the nails and the spear Jesus was whipped and
beaten.. The whipping was so severe that it tore the
flesh from His body.. The beating so horrific that His
face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The
crown of thorns cut deeply into His scalp.. Most men
would not have survived this torture.

He had no more blood
to bleed out, only water poured from His
wounds.
The
human adult body contains about 3.5 liters
(just less than a gallon) of blood.

Jesus poured all 3.5
liters of his blood; He had three nails hammered into His
members; a crown of thorns on His head and, beyond
that, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into His
chest.

All these without
mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying His own
cross for almost 2 kilometers, while the crowd spat in his
face and threw stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight,
only for its higher part, where His hands were
nailed).

Jesus had
to endure this experience, so that you can have free
access to God.

So that your sins
could be "washed" away. All of them, with no exception!

It has been years since i last fished. And previously, it was not really fishing, is just putting the rod down and wait for the fish to get hooked. This time, we really have to prepare the rod, string, prawns, everything by ourselves. That is when we will start our real fishing time where we have to sit and wait. It was because of Darren, I was able to meet up with Baron again. Time flies, the days where we were at YCKSS was 3 years back. But till now, he still likes fishing, that did not change. HAHA.

Went to Timbre for the first time on 19 Feb, Friday. Fun, and i hope to have it more often. :D

Sunday, went to Vanessa's house for visitation. Almost the whole day we were just playing 21 points. Then after dinner went out with Chang Hong. Since Vanessa had invited quite a number of people and there is left 2 of us. We might as well spend our time somewhere else :D

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE! This is the first time I celebrated Valentine's and Chinese New year on the same day but it was fun. The next time where valentine's and chinese new year falls on the same day would be in the year 2048. I probably would be the one giving out angbaos by then. haha!

Nothing much for me to do now. But I look forward to visit my friends house to "bai nian". Since now is holiday period, time to make full use of it :)

Yesterday had family outing. Purpose: To celebrate Dad's birthday but due to the time, we end up celebrating all the January babies. Auntie Estella(1/1), Dad (14/1), me (22/1), and Angeline (24/1). It has been long since we gather as a family since grandma had passed away other than Chinese New Year. Too bad not everyone is around but at least we enjoy the time together.

I think this year Chinese New year will be quite sad. Dad going to Malaysia to visit Aunites and Uncles and Uncle Too Ping and family going to Taiwan to visit their families. Looks like things are not going to be what they were before.

Happy 19th Birthday to myself and also to whoever birthday that falls on the same day. Well, it was nothing much happen for me. I didn't plan on celebrating it, neither has anyone plan to celebrate it for me. Anyway, thanks for the wishes and presents. :D

Has been quite emotionally sensitive these few days. Was thinking why. Maybe I was being push to the edge again and again. Not wanting to do a lot of things but ended up have to do it. Wanting to do a lot of things, but never find the time to do so. Feel helpless and neglected, i even find it hard to relate to people anymore. I think I'm pretty much burnt out. No motivation, no mood to do anything.

First outing

Friday was w25m very first outing. It seems quite saddening when after 10 weeks of school we had first outing, and not the whole class turn up for it. Whatever it is, it was still a nice day out. We went to Laselle open house. It was my first time going to an Arts school.

Can you imagine when dance is a diploma or degree instead of a cca?

Can you imagine when dance itself has different modules for you to learn?

I find it rather interesting. However, come to think of it, everyday dancing...one word...TIRED! I will still continue to work hard towards my goal though :)

Had performance on Saturday at Marina Square Atrium. I think this is the first time performing hiphop in public places? Anyway, we performed twice in a row which was quite tiring. Thank God we got free mcdonalds to charge us with energy again. After eating, we played monopoly deal and had our very own mini dance battle, seven to smoke. I'm not a good dancer, so dpn't even need to think about winning, however, i will still continue to work hard, as long as i have the time to...

First week of school was really busy. Dance dance dance everyday. All for this very open house...

First performance for the week is on 7th January, Thursday. It was for the Board of Governors for our open house. We performed in the Theatre and too bad not everybody can come to watch other than the staffs and the governors. Anyway, I was glad that Zaini was very happy with our performance. :D
Next performance was on 8th January, Saturday, where we performed in an open space, South Agora. I was surprised that there are more senior citizens came to watch us instead of secondary school students though. Anyway, this time our performance was a bit different from the performance from BOG. We had added one more songs for the bboys. I was glad that the performance went well again :D

The very event that has given me the most headache ever is now finally over. I was seriously seriously happy about it. Everything went well. YES! Thanks everybody for your help!

First time celebrating new year overseas. I spend my last week of the year at Thailand. Thailand was quite a fun place to be in. However, i was super lazy to upload all the photos inside so just one picture shall says it all.

The year of 2009 just pass like this. I feel that 2009 was not a very good year though. So I just hope for a better year ahead then :D

New year resolution? Take up more dance course, help in IG more, commit more in church. This is just very general though but these are the things i basically do for years. Not much difference, just thinking of putting more effort. :)

Christmas Season

Starting of this very Christmas week, had a little Christmas shopping for presents on Monday. This time I did not buy much presents for everyone as I'm jobless thus no income. Anyway Christmas is not so much about presents. I just to take this time to enjoy with friends and to know the goodness of God.

On Tuesday, there was bboy lessons as usual. However dance lesson was not that tough. All of us had dance battle against each other. At the same time, Larry went to ask some streetz bboy to join us for battle as a crew. Apparently, it still difficult to work as a team, especially when the group is so huge.

STYLE GROOVAZ CREW X'MAS BBQ

On Wednesday, it is an IG outing day. In the morning we went to Jason house to get ready for some badminton match. Well, my badminton skill was not that good, but I had fun. After a few hours, we went to buy some food for the BBQ. Basically no grocery list was made, we just buy whatever we want, or think what BBQ food we should have. Upon reaching Jason's house, some of us played Wii, some of us bathed, and some of us helped Jason with the food. It was fun during the BBQ. I do hope that as a crew, we have bond a little more through this event. Somehow I hope that more gathering events can be organize to help our crew to bond better with each other. However, I always feel that I have too much to handle...

On Christmas eve, met some friends and intending to watch Alvin and the chipmunks. However, the queue was super duper long and the time slots are either sold out or selling fast, so we went to watch Sherlock Homes instead. It was a nice, smart show actually. That is what we call detective. After the movie, we exchange some presents and we headed down to church to watch our very first production that involves the skit, choir, props, musicians. I would say nice for the first time, and we had a full house first time in our church. A lot of newcomers around too. I also met friends whom i have not seen for 2 years! It was fun.

On Christmas day, we had 11am service. Everything went as per normal, had some fun exchanging gifts too. This is also the first time the church had 2 huge lambs and turkey for us to eat. They were all eaten up in less than a few hours. Went to AMK hub to slack and play arcade games. Then we went back to Northpoint to meet up with ChingKit for dinner and Alvin and the chipmunks! The movie was very happy and cute. The song is quite addictive too.

On Saturday, I had leaders DG. Ching Kit treated us for KFC lunch. yum yum! After that we just have DG as usual. However, the different thing about this DG is that the lesson itself is quite heavy. It is truly not easy to be a leader.

After church, Ivy dragged me to her house to celebrate her brother's birthday. We didn't do much though, just chill at her comfortable home. :)

Thursday had a short performance for International Student Festival.

Friday we had to rush the choreo for Open house as we are having a preview today. However, we seems to have some problems. We haven finished our choreography, we haven done our formation, some of us couldn't make it for today's preview, so on so for.

Saturday suppose to have dance practice but some of us couldn't make it. Which is good, cause I have a lot of things to on Saturday.

Had singing practice at 11.30am.
Had lunch with DGL at 1pm.
Had DG at 2pm.
Celebrated Grandma's birthday at 6pm.

Sunday was quite a long day. Had my first official time with my darlings. it was a nice time. Lei came for service too. Anyway things went well for him, since he and Kang and join hand in hand to bully me -.-. After slacking for a while, Fifi and I went to RP to watch O school recital. Nice show! O crew dope!

Happy Birthday to Fifi on 3 Dec. It was a rather short day, but hope you had fun. Again there are several birthday celebrations for her during her birthday. First is with her classmates, second with Peishi, Andy, RouYi and me. Third is with Joshua and me. :D

What we did on 3 december, was watching Twilight The new moon. And apparently Fifi has fallen deeply in love with Jacob. LOL. After movie we went to eat at Fish and co. Of cause, eating at Fish and co, how can we forget about standing on the chair with everyone in the restaurant singing a birthday song for you? It was fun :D

Too bad that she had stomach flu the next day of her birthday. Otherwise we can have another celebration for her with the hip hopers. Anyway, had Junior's showcase preview and Zaini scolded us quite badly. After the preview, I rushed to watch Pearl's performance, Dancing through the season. She looks so cute when she dance, funny thing is she forget steps -.-! However, good effort and I was glad that I was able to attend. Now I hope that we are able to dance together, and dance on the same stage too. Hoping for that day to come. :D

Saturday, had dance practice in the morning. I was super duper tired, as I slept late the previous night and have to wake up early the following morning. I want my sleep :( After dance, I was suppose to go out with the DGLs but I had to for singing practice at the very last minute. Suddenly everything start clashing to each other. Damn. Singing practice was alright, and we started to have another cake for Fifi. She is still not well yet from her stomach flu though. Poor girl...

Love Language

"Love" is the most wonderful thing in the world. It is something that you, me, kids, parents, folks, in fact everybody needs. Just think it this way, inside everyone of us has an 'emotional tank' waiting to be filled with love.

Example, when a child really feels loved, he will develop normally but when it is empty, the child will misbehave. Such misbehavior of children is a sign that is created by the cravings of an empty love tank.

When our emotional love tank is full, we will feel that the world is bright and will move out to reach the highest potential in our life. However, when a person's emotional love tank is empty, his world will seem dark. He will feel that he is being used rather than be loved. He will likely never reach his potential for good in the world. So the five love language will help us in filling those tank up while at the same time, people filling ours.

Love language #1: Words of affirmation

One way to express love emotionally is to use words to build up. Compliments, encouraging words, or even words of appreciation are powerful, simple statement of affirmation that communicates love.

Encouraging Words

Most of us have more potential than we will ever develop. What holds us back is often courage. Don't be surprised when encourage words are able to encourage a person to develop an interest that he/she already has.

The object of love is not getting what you want but doing something for the well-being of the one you love

Kind Words

Love is kind. We should communicate love verbally using kind words. The manner in which we speak is exceedingly important. Remember, a soft answer turns away anger.

Love doesn't keep a score of wrongs.

Forgiveness is an expression of love. It is not a feeling, it is a commitment.

Humble Words

We should not demand for the things we want the other person to do for us. Love makes requests, not demands. Request creates possibility for an expression of love, whereas a demand suffocates the possibility.

Love language #2: Quality Time

This means by giving someone your undivided attention.

Togetherness

A central aspect of quality time is togetherness, not proximity. When 2 people are sitting on a couch watch TV together is not togetherness, they are just close proximity.

Quality Conversation

Many of us are trained to analyse problems and create solutions, we tend to forget that relationship is not a project to be completed or solve. We need to learn how to listen. At the same time, we can't always listen. Imagine if 2 partners, one always talk and the other always listens. Only the listener will know the other person. But the person who talks a lot does not know much about the other partner. We need to talk it out our feelings/emotion as well.

Love language #3: Receiving Gifts

The gift itself is a symbol of that thought. It does not matter how much the gift cost. What is important is that you thought of him/her. And it is not the thought implanted in the mind that counts, but the thought expressed in actually securing the gift and giving it as the expression of love. Gifts are visual symbol of love.

Gift of self

In times of crisis, physical presence is the most powerful gift you could give to that person. Your body becomes the symbol of love. The heart of love is the spirit of giving.

Love language #4: Acts of service

You will seek to please that person by serving him/her, to express your love for that person by doing things for them. Jesus Christ has illustrated these through the washing of disciples' feet. We can't demand the other person do to what we want them to do. Love is always freely given, it is not demanded. Request give direction to love, but demands stop the flow of love.

Love language #5: Physical Touch

Physical touch can make or break a relationship. Example, a slap could be devastating to a person, and a hug communicates love. If your primary love language is physical touch, things like holding hands, back rub, hug, kiss will mean a lot to you.

As usual it has been another busy weekend for me. Friday had to wake up uber early for my kids confirmation camp. They going to get baptized soon and Nelson and I going to take over them soon too. Jialat. After coming back from the camp, I went out with Fiducia and her friend,Lynette immediately to Far east. They had a hair cut and I went on my shopping spree. Bought a pair of shoes. I went to eat dinner with Dad, leaving them to have their own dinner. We had my favorite dinner, SUSHI!
Saturday, just had my PP presentation. It was really nerve wrecking. I cant even see the notes on my hands as it was shaking. Gracious! However, it was really relieve after presenting. Now I'm helping JunHao out with the poster for Freshies showcase. We need to get them done by Monday so we have to do everything chop chop.

Sunday, my kids will have their confirmation. So I won't be able to join Youth service. After tomorrow will be the day where Nelson and I will officially take over them. Time flies...

Tomorrow I have to do my slides for IEP sharing and I need to hand out by Monday. I also have to compile all the details of Rpresenting together and send it to Zaini by Monday. Wow! So many things to do....I also planning a BBQ for SGC now too. -.-!

This weekend has been quite happening. One event after another. Friday had Flame Awards with the theme Angels and Demons. Most of us will dress according to the theme while some don't. Congrats to Jerv who had won the best costume award. I dressed myself as some gothic vampire. First time i don't smile at all when taking so many photos. After all the ceremony and eating, according to 'tradition', we will go to the dance floor! However, this year was not as fun as last year's. The music not hype enough. Whatever it is, it still a fun day out :D. Oh ya! We caught a lot of people's attention when we were on our way home with our costumes and make up on. LOL.

The following next day was Brother's graduation ceremony. Didn't have enough sleep though, need to wake up so early to dress up. It was held at Hilton hotel. I managed to talk to some of my brother's friends, especially those who are air stewardess. It so difficult to be one can? So many criteria. Well, it doesn't matter though now that I know what I want to do, being an air stewardess was just something i would like to try. Anyway brother is planning a photo taking session with his big big certificate. Looking forward for it.

I am super duper tired today. just performed yesterday. It was a great performers I think. Did some mistakes here and there but at least I know that I am trying to do my best when I am on stage. Seriously seriously seriously can you believe it? This is one of the first time i ever heard someone praise me that I dance well. Do you know how happy I am? I only remember there was once Zaini said that i was a good performer during our debut showcase. After that, i never heard of anything that was pleasing to the ears but just a lot of things happening all around. Continue to work harder than, the days for me to shine will be coming soon :D

Anyway, one thing come after another. I feel so stuck! I will get killed if i go this way. I will also get killed if i go another way. I can't run away and i need to make a decision quick. I feel like crying again...Why am I the middle person? Why is it always me? I really don't know what to do.

I believe this is a big day for the freshies who are performing as this is their very first performance at RP. WELL DONE GUYS!

Reflections opening was great! I love the dance, the music and the lightings. It just so Zaini. HAHA!

Saturday was so packed for me. I got reformation service, DGL Dg and hanging out with friends. i really love the way Ching Kit conducts DG. It is so interesting and you really get to learn something that is relevant in life. Sooner or later, I will be in his position for my DG. I wonder how things will be like in the future. Tears are words from the heart that can't be spoken. How true is that? I'm currently battling myself, not even knowing what has actually happened to me. I'm demoralizing myself...

First time i felt this way though, not being able to say the reason that cause the tears from my heart. Not that I don't want to say it, but I can't, i really can't. It definitely is not the fact that I took over his place that cause my mood to be so down. I even find it stupid to be even crying over such things! So don't and stop thinking that it was because I taking over his place that cause all these unhappiness. It has nothing got to do with him. Even if he wants to give me a place for hiphop item, I also don't even want it! Of course I would like to perform for hiphop, I really do. However, I don't want to perform just because I cried or not in the mood or what so ever! Being able to perform just because you cried is one of the most stupid reason for you to even be on stage! Seriously i just feel like disappearing from all these things.

A road that is not easy to walk through, yet I still want to take this path...

A lot of times I just think that I am not good enough to be in the position I'm in right now. I always thought that I didn't do a good job, especially of the incident that happen recently. I learnt that you can't please everyone, neither can everyone criticise you. Just do what you do best, and the Lord will bless. Since this is God's calling, I can't run away either. This is the path that I'm going to take...

Finally finally finally finally I can start using my lappy for good. Went to configure it this morning and it took about 5-6 hours. Didn get to use lappy for the whole day. It was really really boring!

Bboy item was cut down a lot to 15 dancers. Can see that many were sad. I understand how they feel, I had experienced similiar situations before. Hopefully this would not bring them down, instead made them work even harder. I have faith for my freshies, they will do well. :)
